An elegant Italian Louis XV-style “bureau à battant” dating from around 1900, distinguished by its exquisite sarcophagus-shaped form and gracefully curved cabriole legs. The piece is veneered in fine walnut root, whose natural grain enhances the undulating contours and ornamental carvings.

The upper section features a drop-front writing surface that opens to reveal multiple small drawers and compartments, typical of Italian craftsmanship from the early 20th century. Refined Rococo-inspired scrollwork adorns the structure, adding movement and sophistication.

This bureau remains in original condition and requires restoration, offering collectors and enthusiasts the opportunity to revive a piece of authentic Italian artistry.
